NOVANO MATERIAL OVERVIEW

Every Novano profile is engineered from fully recyclable materials, delivering an eco-friendly solution that eliminates the need for timber harvesting while minimizing long-term maintenance. Our wood-free composition resists warping, cracking, mold, and insect damage, even in Europe’s diverse climates, while maintaining its rich aesthetic year after year.

NOVANO MATERIAL COMPOSITION

Novano is the next generation of building materials, an advanced formulation created for both performance and environmental responsibility. Unlike traditional wood or composite alternatives, Novano utilizes a proprietary blend of renewable resources:

Rice husks (approx. 60%)

Common salt (approx. 22%)

Mineral oil (approx. 18%)

This unique combination not only preserves valuable natural forests but also enables a circular manufacturing process where production waste is fully recyclable. The result is a high-performance material that delivers the warmth and workability of wood without its vulnerabilities.

FABRICATION GUIDELINES & WORKABILITY

Novano panels are engineered for maximum versatility and ease of use on the jobsite, combining the familiar handling of wood with the long-term advantages of advanced composites.

Can be cut, drilled, sanded, milled, or oiled using standard woodworking tools.

Cutting scraps are 100% recyclable, supporting sustainable construction practices.

Profiles remain free from cracking, splintering, or warping even after fabrication.

Suitable for complex design adaptations, curves, or bespoke architectural details when installed properly.

Professional installers can apply Novano in a variety of facade systems with confidence in both appearance and durability.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS & ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS

To ensure safe use and optimal performance, Novano should be handled and maintained according to the following guidelines:

Do not burn the material. In the event of combustion, potentially harmful gases may be released.

Novano is not suitable for independent load-bearing structural applications.

Always store material flat, covered, and in dry, ventilated conditions before installation.

Avoid using strong acidic or chlorinated cleaning agents, which may damage the surface.

Use only Novano-approved stains for colour customization to ensure full compatibility.

Fully recyclable at end-of-life, contributing to reduced construction waste and environmental impact.

TESTING & CERTIFICATIONS

Novano products are independently tested and certified to meet the most rigorous international and European standards for safety, sustainability, and performance:

FAQs

What is Novano made of?

Novano is manufactured using a proprietary blend of renewable materials: approximately 60% rice husks, 22% common salt, and 18% mineral oil. This unique composition makes it fully wood-free, sustainable, and 100% recyclable.

Can Novano panels be bent or curved?

In certain applications, Novano panels can accommodate curved designs depending on the profile, thickness, and installation method. Always consult a certified installer or Novano technical support for guidance on curved or custom applications.

Is Novano safe for load-bearing structures?

No. Novano is not intended for independent load-bearing structural use. It must always be installed on properly engineered substructures.

Does Novano require maintenance?
